ABOUT US
The Spite Haus is an Art and Design gallery located in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. It is the shared vision of my husband, Curtis and myself, Erin Batson-Edwards. With over a decade of experience in NYC museums and galleries, we moved to Philadelphia to make our own space for art.
Upon finding an actual spite house in Philadelphia, we knew we had to have it.
Converting the first floor into a gallery space was one of many challenges in purchasing a building from 1820 that is only 8ft wide! After a lot of renovation, The Spite Haus was finally opened in 2019.
The Spite Haus hosts gallery exhibitions of young artists alongside vintage and contemporary design.
